Thames Matter is a collection of work created through collecting both materials and inspiration directly from the River Thames foreshore.
This piece, titled Thames Matters: Sediment, is inspired by the layers of sand and sediment found along the Thames foreshore. Sand collected directly from the foreshore was used to create a glaze, allowing the material of the river to become part of the surface of the vessel.
