Thames Matter is a collection of work created through collecting both materials and inspiration directly from the River Thames foreshore.
These pieces, titled Thames Matters: Last Drop Miniatures, have taken influence from the small apothecary bottles found along the Thames foreshore. The miniature vessels have been created using a unique blend of black stoneware and London clay, sourced from the Thames. The glazes have been made using various natural materials collected along the foreshore, capturing the colours, textures and traces of the river. Their small scale reflects the delicate nature of these found objects and the fragments of history they hold.
