Thames Matter is a collection of work created through collecting both materials and inspiration directly from the River Thames foreshore.
This piece, titled Thames Matters: Areas, is a record of different areas and locations I have visited along the Thames foreshore. Slip collected from various points along the river was splashed onto the surface of the vessel, creating varied tones and marks depending on where it was collected. The different colours and textures reflect the changing character of the foreshore, with each mark representing a specific location visited.
