Thames Matter - Rupture

Thames Matter is a collection of miniature pots, created using materials collected along the River Thames. The purpose behind this collection is to allow you to hold a piece of the Thames in your hands, creating a connection to a location through touch. Each piece reflects the tones, textures and tactile qualities of the River Thames. Added details are individual, reflecting what I documented, learnt and found on my journeys Mudlarking the Thames. 

This piece titled, Rupture, showcases the true nature of clay sourced from the Thames. The varied tones are from different locations I collected clay along the Thames. The clay bubbles and creates a completely natural explosive effect, reflecting the natural reactions of high fired Thames Clay. 

Each piece from this collection is between 30-70mm in height. Prices vary depending on size. Comes in a small eco friendly hemp sack.
