Thames Matter is a collection of work created using materials gathered along the River Thames.
This is a limited collection of Thames Matter Miniatures. They have been finished using a unique ash glaze recipe that combines Thames Clay with Birch Wood Ash. The glaze has been applied to the top of the pieces, when fired, it slowly runs down the pieces, creating multi tonal iridescent black and brown and shimmering pooling effect, some have areas of a blistered white bubbling effect. Each piece has been stamped at the base using a blue underglaze, rather than my standard stamp. Making each piece a one-of-a-kind special edition that will not be repeated.Each piece varies in size and form.
